Johann Sebastian Bach: Cantatas BWV 102 &  23
Johann Christoph Bach: Lamento: Lamento: O that I had enough water

Johann Sebastian Bach's last year of life was marked by an eye condition that rapidly led to blindness. Still full of plans and in fairly good health, Bach decided in 1750 to undergo surgery by the English miracle healer John Taylor, who was visiting Leipzig at the time. Was this eye operation partly to blame for his death?
